A 530-m² contemporary residence in Playa Pelada, Nosara, on Costa Rica's Guanacaste coast. PrendasLoria (now José Pablo Ortiz) carried the project from initial consultation and schematic design through construction documents, permitting, the competitive construction bid, and on-site technical supervision. The architecture blends a warm-minimalist Mediterranean vocabulary—microcement walls, exposed wood-beam ceilings, and arched steel-framed glazing—with a tropical setting of covered terraces, natural-stone accents, and a pool. PrendasLoria led architecture and engineering and coordinated the interior design and landscape design consultants across the roughly 530-m² program.
José Pablo Ortiz led the management of every phase — Design Management, Building Permit Management, and Pre-Construction Management — during his years at PrendasLoria.

Design, engineering and construction were carried out by the project's architects, engineers and an independent general contractor. The role above is project management across the full lifecycle.
Casa Palma was a PrendasLoria project, managed by José Pablo Ortiz across its full lifecycle during his years there. He now brings that experience to Papagayo Design Center, where he is a partner.
